We're on a mission to make vehicle condition assessment fast, objective, and auditable — bringing the computer-vision expertise behind our license plate recognition products to the world of car damage detection.
Our story
It started with license plates. Existing global recognition systems struggled with the realities of the Gulf — Arabic script, emirate-specific formats, and plate designs no generic model had ever seen. So we built our own. We collected and annotated hundreds of thousands of real vehicle images and trained custom machine-learning models from the ground up. That became ANPR.software, our first original product, followed by LPR.software for license plate recognition beyond the region.
Building those products taught us something bigger: the hardest part of vehicle AI isn't reading a plate — it's understanding the car itself, reliably, in messy real-world conditions. Insurers, rental companies, fleets, and dealerships kept asking the same question: can your models tell us what's wrong with the car, not just who owns it?
DamageDetection.software is our answer. Built on the same computer-vision foundation as ANPR.software and LPR.software, it reads a vehicle's exterior the way an expert appraiser would — pinpointing every dent, scratch, and broken part, grading severity, and returning structured data any system can act on. What used to take days of back-and-forth now takes a single API call.

Meet the founder

Abzal Assembekov
Founder, Bootstrapped Ventures
Abzal is the founder of Bootstrapped Ventures, a Sharjah-based technology company building AI-powered products — including ANPR.software, LPR.software, and DamageDetection.software — for the automotive industry and beyond.
Previously, he founded ContactInBio (2017–2021), a link-in-bio landing page builder that grew to over 100,000 users across the USA, Indonesia, and Brazil, with more than one million monthly visitors. Customers included SoundCloud, Lenovo, the United Nations, Shangri-La Hotels, and Step Conference. ContactInBio was acquired by Taplink in April 2021.
Earlier in his career, Abzal worked at Masafi and Learnostic — two Dubai-based companies — where he led digitization initiatives and machine-learning projects.
